Divided Loyalties is a film that I starred in and won Best Actress for at the Meisner Technique Film Festival in 2013. The Short Film Divided loyalties is about two young dreamers, who end up losing sight of their goals in the mist of their romance. Nancy is an aspiring actress, and James is an aspiring artist. Throughout their relationship James gets caught into the life of drugs, but is recovering with the help of his girlfriend Jyoti.
Unfortunately, due to the absence of his love, James falls into old habits. Throughout this time Jyoti has been struggling to tell her future son's father about the pregnancy, yet on her way back from a family trip, she finds that her man James isn't all that he said he was. She ultimately must choose a different path, without James.
This is the final scene of the film. It showscases my ability to work moment to moment and be fully present within the presence of a film crew. My intense training at the Meisner Technique Studio has allowed me to focus on the moment and the other actor without breaking my concentration. My ability to empathize and concentrate are one of my greatest assests as a human being and actor.
